Moving to the new house, then, we knew that we'd need GOOD locks EVERYWHERE as fast as we could install them. Our house has 5 total doors to the outside; 3 of them sliding doors. Even when we put a pole at the top of the sliding glass door he'd beat his body against the door until it fell down & he could unlcock it and go outside.
I can now say that our new house is Samuel-proofed. Not baby-proofed, mind you, but Samuel-proofed...which is equivalent to high-security prison. We found high locks for all the doors, including the sliding doors, and now we don't have to worry
Samuel also likes to get under the kitchen sink and get our dishwashing detergent cubes and break them all over himself. He's done this twice and the bleach stained his clothes (not to mention exposed him to harmful ingredients). We had tried every possible lock and he defeated them all. Finally, we bit the bullet and bought Magnetic Tot Locks
Samuel presents us with new challenges each day. This day, however, we win!!
Samuel keeps trying to open the door and then he says, "It's-a lock?" Yes, Samuel, yes it is!

Hope it works! That Samuel can be "savage"!! Grandma
