This is my third pregnancy, so I'm a bit of an expert on this by now. I know what happens (with me). I get pregnant. Around 33 weeks, my blood pressure starts creeping up. I start spilling protein in my urine and, before I know it, I'm in full-blown Preeclampsia and have to have an emergency C-section.
It's happened twice and, statistically, odds are it will happen again.
Except it's not.
I went to the doctor yesterday and my blood pressure was 98/56. Yep, that's right. My blood pressure was extremely low. I have negative protein in my urine...not trace, but negative. And I'm not swollen a bit!
You know what's weirder?
Hannah is head-down and has dropped. It's like she thinks she's going to be born or something! It's like my body's going to go into labor or something!
I haven't had contractions. I haven't dilated. I haven't had my water break, I haven't lost my mucous plug...nothing's ever happened. We just wait until my blood pressure goes up and they cut the baby out!
This is strange, folks. Very strange. I'm excited in a nervous sort of way, not quite knowing what's going to happen. I do know this, though: I'm thrilled to not be preeclamptic!
