Infant Crawling Track
We built a large Infant Crawling Track for Samuel that went all the way around our Queen size bed. It was wonderful except for one thing: we got cheap fabric to upholster it in! Our fabric was tearing and just generally didn't look too good; we had to re-do it before we felt comfortable putting Hannah on it. Plus, we needed to add inside edges since we've decided we didn't want Hannah around our bed. She'll have a nice infant crawling area right next to us in the playroom/sitting room/nursery right off our bedroom.
If you happened here looking for experience or instructions to build an infant crawling track, take our advice: buy high-quality fabric. We found nice, THICK fabric at Hobby Lobby in the curtain area; it was normally $11/yard but we got it for 30% off. In total, it was around $60 to buy the fabric for the sides and bottoms and it is SO smooth and professional looking. It's vinyl so it'll wipe clean easily.
Basically, you just pull the fabric tight and staple gun it to the bottom of the track to "upholster" it. Ours came out looking quite nice! All we have left are the sides and I'm excited to get them done.
