Homeschool

Timothy did great with homeschool over Christmas Break. He made it to about lesson 70 in My Father's World and they started having him read more and more (for example, he had to read 3 full pages like a chapter book in his Bible Reader on several lessons). He's reading well, but he lacks confidence and was starting to get really anxious and hysterical again.

Part of the benefit of homeschool is that we can take breaks when we need to in order to let what we've learned sink in. That's what we're doing now. We've stopped My Father's World for now and are working on Reading Eggs again. Here's what he's done lately.

We'll pick it up whenever it seems like he can deal with his anxiety a little better. For now, it doesn't really matter HOW he's learning as long as he's learning.

  1. Just curious, I've read your blog for a few years now. I have seen you mention teaching college classes and you say you have a PhD--but in what??
