Part of the benefit of homeschool is that we can take breaks when we need to in order to let what we've learned sink in. That's what we're doing now. We've stopped My Father's World for now and are working on Reading Eggs again. Here's what he's done lately.
We'll pick it up whenever it seems like he can deal with his anxiety a little better. For now, it doesn't really matter HOW he's learning as long as he's learning.

- Timothy completed lesson 85, where Timothy studied the sh sound, as in shop and shoes. Timothy read the book, A shark in a shirt
- Timothy completed lesson 84, where Timothy studied the ine word family, line, pine, etc. Timothy read the book, Ride a bike
- Timothy completed lesson 83, where Timothy studied smile ans squeeze words, a fun way to learn that by squeezing the letter l into the word pie, you can make the word pile. Timothy read the nonfiction book, Families help each other
- Timothy completed lesson 82, where Timothy studied the letters ie make the long I sound, as in pie. Timothy also studied the words going, where and want. Timothy read the book, The pie shop
- Timothy completed lesson 81, where Timothy studied the five senses, see, hear, smell, touch, and taste. Timothy read the nonfiction book, My five senses



Just curious, I've read your blog for a few years now. I have seen you mention teaching college classes and you say you have a PhD--but in what??
