Egg yolks are so nutritionally sound. They're full of good fat and calories and, really, one of the best foods to start a baby on.
We gave Hannah good, quality egg yolk from an organic, free-roaming hen about a month ago. 2 and a half hours later, she violently vomited about a half dozen times. We weren't really sure if it was the eggs or if she had a stomach virus (it was going around) but we didn't give her the rest of that dozen just to be safe.
This morning, we were eating eggs and fed her some off our plate. 2 and a half hours later she violently vomited dozens of times. It was terrible. We felt so bad for her!!
Apparently, Hannah is allergic to eggs. Both times she's had them they've made her sick. We're a little bit disappointed because eggs are so healthy and inexpensive and easy, but it's clear to us now that she has an allergy.
She lost an ounce over the last week. She'll be 9 months this week and she still hasn't doubled her birthweight. She is 14lb 5.5oz. I guess we'll take what we can get!
