Hannah will be 9 months in 2 weeks. She's crawling all over the place, even tackling the stairs now. She's picking up tiny objects off the floor and putting them in her mouth. She's pulling up on the sofa and cruising alongside it. She's opening drawers and pulling out my hair dryer. She's pulling Samuel's hair when he lays on the floor to play with his train. She's mobile, determined, and capable.
Not only that, but she's extremely verbal. She babbles all the time and, when she wants to nurse, she says mamamamama. She also signs "more" when we're eating (and that's the only baby sign we've taught her. Oops!)
We just took Samuel to his 2 year well visit at the pediatrician and she was laughing so hard she had tears in her eyes because Samuel was talking so much. She said she's never seen such a tiny child with such a large vocabulary. And he would.not.stop.talking. Looks like we've got another one just like him on the way!
Hannah's been a really fun baby. We've enjoyed every stage she's been through. We've never had a child that just smiles and giggles all day everyday...that's fun. Still, I must admit that babies are much easier when they stay where you put them. Once they have true mobility, life becomes a lot more complicated....
